This was a difficult choice to make, but I have selected the following shot. My main reason for this is that I watched throughout the year various shots of the moon from many of the members of the 2009/365 groups to which I belonged, always wanting to get a nice one for myself. Failure after failure, none to post. And then, one day, it all seemed to come together for me.

I think using something like Merge to HDR in Photoshop you could take one image with the mountains exposed the way you want, and then one with the moon exposed the way you want, and then merge the two... BUT... the image is great the way it is! Good work!
This is a gorgeous photo! Takes me back to December when my wife and I visited your neck of the woods, spending a week on Vancouver Island. What an enchanting place!
